Drummond Island Fishing Charters

PRIME TIME FOR  SALMON AND TROUT

May 13 – June 25, 2024 AND August 22-September 14, 2025.

Enjoy a truly unique Great Lakes fishing experience aboard Stormy Chinook at some rarely fished mid-lake shoals that Capt. Dan has experimented with and mastered. The tricky currents and steep drop-offs around Drummond Island, Michigan require experience to fish successfully, and Stormy Chinook has been fishing Drummond Island since 1985. When the offshore water is rough, the calmer near-shore deep water around Drummond Island can be highly productive. Wind cancellations are rare.

Morning – 6 Hours or limit catch. Trips run daily, starting before daylight. Most popular!
1-3 persons $580, extra persons $80 up to 6.
Evening – 6 Hours or limit catch. Trips run daily, ending at dusk.
1-3 persons $580, extra persons $80 up to 6.

Depending on fuel prices, any trip beyond 15 miles from the dock may require a surcharge

Custom trips to meet individual needs can be arranged on most days.
Popular custom trips include mid-day departures.

  • It is strongly recommended to make your reservations as early as possible because prime dates go quickly for each port.

  • A $100 deposit is required to guarantee a date.

  • Recommended items to bring; warm clothes, food, sunglasses, a camera, and a cooler for your fillets. (All fish will be cleaned and bagged.)

Before booking any charter, it's always important to know about the person who you will be spending the day with offshore. Please let me introduce myself. I'm Captain Dan Cruchon, a veteran of Great Lakes sport fishing who has chartered thousands of fishing guests since 1985. My knowledge and love for the sport of fishing has consistently resulted in guest satisfaction. It doesn't matter if you are experienced, or a novice at fishing, I will give you the personal attention you deserve to ensure a successful and enjoyable Great Lakes charter fishing experience.

I am a member of the Michigan Charter Boat Association, Thumb Area Captain's Association, and International Game Fish Association. My previous career as a full-time Firefighter, and Air Force Reservist is where I learned that honesty, integrity, and hard work is the key to earning people's trust. I can't always promise a full cooler of fish, but I will guarantee there is not another Captain anywhere who will put more effort into ensuring that you have memorable day catching fish on the Great Lakes.
