Fishing has been awesome at the tip of Michigan’s thumb. Walleye are everywhere from 20 to 150 feet of water. Lake Trout and Steelhead have not been in their usual spots within 7 miles of shore every day, but there are plenty of fish scattered out in deep water, up to 200 feet. Magnum spoons have been doing better than dodger/spin-glow rigs. These photos are recent, and most of these fish were caught in about 125 feet of water, due north of Grindstone. August is full for me, but I have some trips available in September, and that is a great time to fish! Good luck.
